LEGO Street View Car v2.0 Using the Wifi Sensor and dGPS
Sequels are rarely better than the original. But Mark Crosbie has done a fantastic job making the first LEGO Street View Car into an even better LEGO Street View Car. This is NOT the sequel that bombed.
Some may remember that a few months ago, Mark assembled a technological monument in taking the Google Streetview Car, and shrinking it down and remaking it in LEGO.
New and improved, this project still uses the dGPS for navigation and documentation. LSVC 1 used the NXTBee to communicate. But there’s a new twist on the communications side . . .

This time, the car is wifi ready. Mark writes:
The car uses the Dexter Industries dGPS sensor to record the current GPS coordinates.
The KML file that records the path taken by the car is transmitted using the Dexter Industries Wifi sensor once the car is within wireless network range.
Google Earth Lego Style
The phone also uses an iPhone to take pictures. Everything can then be seen in Google Earth.
