Connecting the Arduino and the LEGO MINDSTORMS: HowTo

This week we got back to our hacking spree: we made an Arduino and LEGO MINDSTORMS talk.  This weeks example gets the Arduino and the NXT sending information back and forth.  The beauty of the examples: they can be extended to use the Arduino as a sensor for the NXT, and to develop your own sensors for the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT system.

Using the Arduino is probably the fastest, easiest, and cheapest way to free your NXT and add your own sensors and devices: when you connect the NXT and the Arduino and the world is yours!

In the example we use the Dexter Industries Breadboard Adapter, available on our store website or on Amazon, to connect the LEGO MINDSTORMS and the Arduino.
