Our latest example of using the NXTBee: the RC Car. We built a quick RC car with our new sensor the NXTBee. The car can travel over 300 feet away from the controller.
The programming was all done in RobotC.

Do the each Xbee module no the others’ position relative to each other or is RFID needed?
-
Eric. The NXTBee modules are not able to gauge each other’s positions as far as we know. RFID tags won’t help with that. One possible solution is to use the dGPS and have them send information on their positions back and forth.

Would Dgps work in a school building classroom?
-
Hey Eric. It depends on how and where the classroom is. Just like any other GPS product, the dGPS works better the more sky it can see. It can be a real challenge though to get the dGPS to work inside a building.

Hi,
I am very interested in your RC car built from the NXT Mindstorm. Do you have any building guide for the car? Or some close up pictures of the car that you can share with me.
Thank you very much!

Hello Tu!
The robot was built with the NXT Race Car from NXTPrograms.com here:

I am very interesting in the NXTBee. Do you know if they have the LabVIEW drivers?
Thank in advance-
Coming soon. We’re in the final stages of developing this. It is a little tougher than it sounds because the sensor uses the RS485 protocol, something that National Instruments has not developed anything for.
